Rumor has it that the government is paying a subsidy for anyone who decides to transfer a home in their name. “Houses won’t collapse as long as people live in them and manage them,” a Kamiichi town official in the construction department said. Some of these homes have farms, which could generate an income. Others say that if young people move into the community, that it would lead to the towns revitalization.
